- What should I wear?
If you have a wet suit please feel free to bring it with you. If not a swimsuit/shorts will be fine but we do recommend you bringing a t-shirt as your dog's claws can be surprisingly sharp.
- How do I get to you?
We are located at
Fieldgrove Farm, Elstree Rd, Borehamwood WD6 3BG Just off the A41. It is signposted from the roundabout and at the entrance of Fieldgrove farm. Just drive up the lane to the top. The gates will open automatically.
- I'm not sure if my dog will like it?
Most dogs are natural swimmers although they may need a little encouragement the first time (This can be quite amusing in itself) but most get in fine and swim around with a little guidance. Once they have been in the first few times they generally love the pool.
- I don't know if my dog can swim?
In our experience, most dogs are great swimmers. If not we have doggie life jackets from small to extra large.
- My dog is injured or has arthritis. Is it safe?
Swimming for dogs is very much the same as it is for us. It can help ease aches, pains and help with such things as arthritis. We have many happy clients that will testify that a regular swim has totally enhanced the quality of there dog's life.
If you are concerned we would always suggest you ask your vet if they think it would be of benefit.
